Accept the Mistakes You Make

Someone once asked me: “Ram, I have never seen you worry over a problem. What makes you nervous?”

My answer was, and still is, very simple: why should I be? If I were a company CEO, the worst that can happen is they fire me.

You know what, I probably deserved it. If my superior thinks I’m incompetent and I didn’t help him, then I think I deserve it. I like to know what I missed and how to improve.

Our job as individuals is to continuously improve in business.

Yes, you have to own up to what happened, but improvement is much more than that. It is understanding what you could have done better and what you missed.

Our mistakes are our most significant learning opportunities.

What makes you nervous?
